Mr. Wu Qiang, a 33-year-old Chinese patient, has been dealing with large tumors on his face since childhood. Qiang has lived with these tumors for many years until they grew to enormous proportions, covering his entire face, rendering him unable to see and causing difficulty in breathing.
Qiang explained that seven years ago, the tumors began to swell, and doctors diagnosed him with hemangiomas. These hemangiomas can appear anywhere on the body, ranging from the outermost layer of the skin to deeper tissues. When hemangiomas rupture due to significant impact, they can cause pain, bleeding, scarring, or potentially life-threatening infections. After undergoing surgery to remove nearly ten kilograms of hemangiomas from his face, Wu Qiang regained the appearance of a normal person and could see and breathe properly again. This is one of the rare surgical cases in the world.
