3-year-old Jonathan was considered a “diseased child” in Uganda because of the grapefruit-sized tumor draped around his neck. He was isolated, couldn’t play with other kids or even go to school. He traveled across the world to University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital for a six-hour procedure to remove the tumor.
